She enjoys listening, educating, serving her patients and finds their trust to be a very rewarding part of her day. Christina’s interests outside the practice include cooking, crafting, supporting our local sports teams and all things family. She’s been married for 20 years, has an 18 year old daughter, 14 year old son and a fun loving dachshund named Kevin.
Doris “Day” – Assistant
I joined Dr. Laudie’s dental team in August of 2015, and it has been wonderful to be a part of such a warm and welcoming practice. I graduated from Concorde Career College’s Dental Assisting program in 2006, and I have been assisting since. I am passionate about dentistry and take pride in making each patient’s visit and experience pleasing. I love all aspects of dentistry and have aspirations of one day becoming a dental hygienist. The patients I see are always treated as if they are family. I want you to feel comfortable, informed, and excited our your visit to our office.
In my leisure time my focus is my family and we love to travel! You may find us skiing or snowboarding in Colorado, boogie boarding in the Caribbean, or just fishing off the side of a boat at the lake. I also enjoying running. I have run a ½ marathon and many 5 and 10K races. In 2012, I married my best friend and we also welcomed our son Michael into the world. Being a mother is by far my greatest accomplishment and favorite adventure! We also enjoy our 3 dogs Domino, Daisy, and Mickey Mouse who are beagle mix dogs we rescued.
Gretchen – Hygienist
Gretchen joined Summit Dental after graduating from Concorde Hygiene School with honors in July 2014. She was a stay at home mom for 12 years prior to that. Gretchen grew up in rural Ohio and has lived in many places across the US during her adult life, but loves the KC area the most.
Gretchen has 3 children ages 15,13 and 9. They keep her busy along with volunteer work she does at church. Some of her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, shopping, traveling, reading, and exercising.
Gretchen’s favorite part of being a dental hygienist is getting to know and connecting with her patients. She realizes that not everyone loves coming to the dental office and wants patients to feel important, comfortable and safe. Educating patients and providing up to date clinical based hygiene treatment is also very important to her. Just like Dr Laudie, Gretchen attends continuing education classes during the year to remain knowledgable about changes and advances in dentistry.
Recently Gretchen went on her first dental mission trip with a team of several dental professionals including Dr Laudie and his wife to Roatan, Honduras. It was extremely rewarding and humbling. She can’t wait to return and bring her children with her. Gretchen believes that helping and serving others is the most important thing we can do, which is why she loves being a dental hygienist.
Jonna – Front Office
Jonna started in dentistry in 2002 as a dental assistant. After many years of assisting she wanted to expand her knowledge in all aspects of dentistry and became cross trained in the front office! Jonna joined our amazing team in 2011.
When she is not at work or carpooling to sports & activities she enjoys shopping, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Jonna has been married for 13 years and has 3 kids ages 12,10, & 3.
Michelle – Front Office
Michelle started her career in the dental field in 1994 as a dental assistant and front office assistant. She is dedicated to educating our patients on all aspects of dentistry and insurance. Michelle loves seeing people fall in love with their new smiles that Dr. Laudie has created. She prides herself on making the patients feel as comfortable as possible through the treatment process and building long-lasting relationships with our patients. Michelle spends most of her spare time with her son James and his long list of activities.
Yvette – Assistant
Yvette has been with our office since January 2016 as one of our Dental Assistants. She moved to the Kansas City area from Oregon with her husband and two boys a few years ago. Yvette has worked in the Dental field since 2003 in General and Pediatric dental offices. Working at Dr. Laudies has been a wonderful experience for Yvette because she gets to see patients of all ages and help educate patients about dental hygiene, advances in oral care, and share about new technologies in dentistry.
Outside of working part time, she is a stay at home mom and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, DIY projects, and volunteering at her children’s Preschool.
